12 Nov Smart Pup for Lachlan
Lachlan was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder at the age of three and a half years as well as a host of other medical issues. He is also currently undergoing assessment for ADHD.
Lachlan is now seven and while he has been engaged in early intervention therapy for the last three years, he still faces many daily struggles. He faces all of his daily struggles head on and with a smile. We, like all parents, want Lachlan to have a happy and fulfilled life and we are always looking into different solutions to assist Lachlan in overcoming some of the challenges that he faces. We were so very thrilled when Lachlan’s application was accepted into the Smart Pups program, however attaining a Smart Pup for Lachlan is not an immediate process. First we need to raise a minimum of $20,000 all of which goes directly to Smart Pups to train a pup for Lachlan. The training for Lachlan’s Superhero Smart Pup takes a minimum of twelve months and cannot begin until the much needed funds are raised.
Smart Pups is a not-for-profit organization and your donation, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Lachlan has an intense interest in Superheroes so having a Smart Pup means that he would have a much needed furry side kick to assist him in his daily living. His furry sidekick would be able to assist Lachlan with his emotional regulation. A Smart Pup would help to keep Lachlan safe in the community as he is known to run to escape from sensory and/or emotional overload.
From our family to yours, thank you for your donation. And all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
