14 Nov Smart Pup for Chloe
Chloe was formally diagnosed with Autism and GDD in 2018 but I could see the daily struggles she faced at age 3. I have lost count of how many doctors, specialists, therapists and Pediatrician appointments Chloe has had to sit through, not knowing why or how to feel. Her journey has had many ups and downs, Happy and sad times.
Being a parent comes with daily challenges but being a parent with a child on the spectrum adds to those daily challenges. This campaign is to help raise awareness and much need funds towards an autism assistant dog for Chloe.
I do all I can with therapy, support and unconditional love to help her cope in this big scary world, If I could bubble wrap her to keep her safe I would.
Having an assistant dog will greatly benefit Chloe to feel safer, calmer and more understood through her bond with a Smart Pup Assistance Dog. These trusty canine companions can increase an autistic child’s ability to cope with life, ease sensory overloads and provide emotional support. A Smart Pup acts as a bridge between each child and the outside world; guiding children through their daily routine, keeping them safe and comforting them when the world just gets too much.
Chloe is also a ‘runner’ and at any given opportunity she will take off without a care in the world, disregarding any danger she maybe in from running onto roads, into crowds and situations where she can become lost, Chloe’s smart pup will be trained to prevent this by being tethered to her and on command from me to stop and anchor Chloe in place.
Over the next year I will also be hosting and fundraising events, please feel free to contact me with ideas as this will be my first sole fundraising page and look forward to this exciting opportunity and support.

Your donation will be greatly appreciated no matter how big or small. This organisation is a non for-profit organisation. The training for the pup can take 12-14 months but it is intense, and these dogs are just incredible.
