10 Jan Smart Pup for Eliza
My name is Eliza. I have an intellectual disability, epilepsy, limited communication and ataxic cerebral palsy. On May 25th 2017, I lost my big brother Jay in a road accident. Due to my disabilities I am struggling to understand where my beloved brother has gone.
Jay cared for me, took me on the miniature train and now I look for him everyday but he never comes home.
As a result I am suffering from PTSD and anxiety. The only relief I get from my grief is when I spend time at the dog park, playing with dogs. The love and affection that the dogs show me eases my frustration and anxiety and gives me a sense of calmness. I may not ever comprehend where my Jay has gone but having a Smart Pup trained to sense my feelings and seizures,would provide me with a companion and someone to help comfort me in my sadness.
