09 Nov Smart Pup for Noel (217216)
Noely is a bright, sweet, tenacious 5 year-old boy with level 3 Autism (the category which requires the most support).
He has some major issues that come with his Autism, including sensory processing difficulties, major language delays – he is mostly non-verbal – and other developmental issues. One major area that he struggles is in staying still, and staying with his family! He has a strong desire to run and be free, and a distinct lack of any sense of danger, which makes life challenging for all of us as a family. All of these things will be greatly helped with the support of an Autism Assistance Dog.
An Autism Assistance Dog will help Noely to regulate his emotions, calm anxiety from sensory processing, help him to stay put (and out of danger), interrupt repetitive behaviour, and help to calm him when he becomes disregulated.
