24 Dec It was the night before…
Season’s greetings to our wonderful fosters, clients supporters and volunteers.
After a tumultuous year we wanted to pass on our wishes to you as one of our valued Smart Pups devotees and to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Christmas is traditionally a time to reflect on the year that has been and this year has shown us that moments of social disruption are a valuable reminder that so much of what we take for granted — our sense of normalcy — isn’t necessarily normal at all. At the bustling Smart Pups Training Centre, we have achieved some exceptional milestones and witnessed some magical moments with the placements that have been done this year.
As we reflect on our achievements of the past year and with thanks to the support of our generous fosters, we have been able to reach an incredible goal of placing 51 dogs during 2020. Fifty one families with special needs children, who now have new hope and confidence to tackle the everyday tasks we all take for granted, with a service dog at their side.
Thanks to our supporters and volunteers that made this year such a success with your ongoing donations and all the support that we received for 2020, the success of fundraising at Smart Pups is due to our most loyal and incredibly generous devotees and we could not achieve what do without your continued support.
As we prepare to move into 2021 we already have 72 pups in training which is setting the scene for a very big year. Smart Pups is excited to embark on all the challenges’ that this growth represents and we are committed to assist more families achieve a greater quality of life through the loving companionship of a Smart Pup and a furry best friend for life.
But before we bring in the New Year, we want to wish you and your family a very happy and safe Christmas. You have the sincere gratitude of the Smart Pups’ team for all you’ve done to support our work again this year and make a real difference to our clients and their families. We hope you can all be proud of your own contribution to this wonderful achievement, as each helping hand builds the team that makes our work possible.
We also wish you a safe holiday season and hope you get to spend time with your family.
