The FOGS Annual Charity Lunch 2018

The FOGS Annual Charity Lunch 2018

Smart Pups Assistance Dogs were honoured to be one of the beneficiaries at the 2018 FOGS Queensland (Former Origin Greats) State of Origin Luncheon which was held in the long room at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane. FOGS generously donated much needed funds and raised awareness of 3 special charity organisations; Heart Kids, MND and Me and Smart Pups Assistance Dogs. An amazing lunch and afternoon was had by all with all proceeds from the lunch and the auction going directly to assist raising and training assistance dogs for special needs children.

We were also given the amazing opportunity to speak at the charity lunch to 600+ people creating great awareness about the work we do. After successfully hosting the renowned annual event for well over 10 years, FOGS was pleased to once again hold their event at the home of Rugby League in Queensland, Suncorp Stadium. As it turn out it was the preceding event to the third and final State of Origin match for the 2018 Series.

The event enables FOGS to celebrate the feat State of Origin is, the greatest interstate rivalry this country has ever seen, whilst providing us with the unique opportunity to raise much needed funds for charities. This year we were joined by none other than former Australian and Queensland cricketer, Greg ‘Fat Cat’ Ritchie.

Our sincere thanks goes out to all the sponsors and everyone involved with helping, donating, attending and fundraising to make this such a wonderful successful annual event.
